Groups and events form the building blocks of a programme.
The structure of a programme corresponds to that of a tree. The root corresponds to a programme.
The basic settings are defined in the programme, e.g. registration for the programme, visibility of progress for participants... . Groups can be assigned to programmes and groups. Events can be assigned to groups and programmes by means of links.
Users can register for programmes and events themselves in the front end and view the progress of the programme. (The programme participant is only shown events that have the following status: "completed = no" or "completed = yes + participated = yes")
Manage programme (group)
This is the area for managing and creating programmes and groups. Each row corresponds to either a programme or a group. A programme can be recognised immediately by the empty parent column. Groups always have a parent element.

Create group
Groups and events form the building blocks of a programme. Groups can be assigned to programmes and other groups. Events can be assigned to groups and programmes.
Note
The settings for a group are defined here.
It is not possible to set up a loose group. A group must always be assigned to a higher-level element. The superordinate element can be a programme or a group. It is therefore possible to create any number of subgroups in a programme.
Steps
- Click on the Actions drop-down menu at the top right.
- Click on New group in the drop-down menu.
- The form for setting up a new group opens.
- Configure the group using the form.
- Finally, scroll all the way down and click the Add button to finalise the group setup.
The following settings can be configured in the group form
| Group title | Group description |
|---|---|
| Superordinate | Define the affiliation of the overriding programme or group. |
| Name | Identification of the programme. |
| Active | Specify whether the group can be used. |
| Sorting | Sorting is specified with a numerical value and should be considered in the overall context of the group hierarchy. Elements with a low value are listed first. |
| Mandatory | To pass the higher-level programme group, this programme group must exist. This only applies to the directly superordinate group; the superordinate group does not automatically become mandatory for its own superordinate group! |
| Required credits | Specifies the minimum number of credits required to complete the programme group. |
| Maximum achievable credits | Here you can specify whether more credits can be achieved than are required to pass the programme. Leave blank for unlimited. The maximum number of credits achieved can then be transferred to higher-level groups (provided there are no further restrictions). |
| Number of existing subgroups | In order to pass this programme group, at least as many subgroups must be passed as specified. |
| Description | Information on the content and aim of the group. |
| Internal notes | Information that can be used internally to manage the group. |
